In our business we search high and low for great sources of information every day. Books, websites, blogs, podcasts; we dig through them all consuming tons of data along the way. Some of what we learn is real estate related, some personal finance, some life by design, some motivational, and some completely random. With that we thought it would be great to share with y’all the top things that we’ve learned and so we’re introducing a new monthly segment to our blog, welcome to Around the Horn!
Like always, we want this to be a dialogue. Don’t hesitate to let us know what other recommendations you have that we should check out!
Green Financing (Article) “Most investors don’t realize that we actually take full advantage of a special Fannie May Loan product that provides great loan terms in exchange for enacting energy and water efficiency improvements in assets we manage. That is true a win-win.”
Franklin & Winston (Book) “I love listening to biographies about historical and successful people. This is a great look at two great men and their relationship through WWII and beyond. It taught me a lot about the war, but also determination and self-belief. When you unpack their stories, there was never a doubt in their own minds, even at a young age, that they would be successful and had high ambitions”
Loop Habit Tracker (Life Hack) “They say that it takes 30 days to build a habit. In the never ending pursuit of improving ourselves and our business there are many habits that I’d love to pick up. This free little app (Android only) has been exactly what I was looking for to set and track goals, holding myself accountable. Apple friends, while I have no experience with it,
Productive Habit Tracker looks similar in form and function.”
David Osborn & Hal Elrod’s BP Podcast (Podcast) “I’ve highlighted the Bigger Pockets podcast, and this guest, before, but this one is an especially great listen. David Osborn and Hal Elrod dive into the mindset and habits that make a Millionare. A great hour of motivation in case you need it!”
